Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown Preview

I was thrilled to have been given the opportunity to preview Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown, an upcoming racing video game developed by KT Racing and published by Nacon. I’ve been playing racing games since I was 7 years old, so Test Drive Unlimited has always been one of my favorite racing games ever made. The fact that it’s now getting its first sequel in 13 years only makes me more excited! And from what I’ve seen so far, I think this one might be the best yet! You can read about it below and see what I thought about this exciting new racer!

What is Test Drive Unlimited?

Test Drive Unlimited is a 2004 racing video game developed by Eden Games and published by Atari. The game is part of Test Drive series, but unlike previous installments, it focuses on racing without restrictions on types of vehicles or race courses. In 2007, Test Drive Unlimited was re-released as Test Drive Unlimited: Bay Area for Microsoft Windows and Xbox 360 with extra cars and courses. A PlayStation 3 version was released as Test Drive Unlimited 2 in June 2010 in North America, Europe and Australia[2] exclusively for that platform.

What does Solar in Test Drive Unlimited mean?

With two installments already under its belt, Test Drive Unlimited is ready to expand even further. The latest installment, called Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown, is going to build on what makes previous games so enjoyable—fast cars and stunning landscapes—while also adding new features for racing fans. This preview will provide an overview of some of those new additions.

How will it be playable online?

With Test Drive Unlimited 2 racking up millions of sales, it’s no surprise that publisher Atari have announced a follow-up. While not much is known about their next open-world racer, we can expect a bigger game with new features and better handling. Here’s what we know about Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown so far

How long has it been in development?

The game is being developed by KT Racing, who are known for their work on Test Drive Unlimited 2 and Live For Speed. Solar Crown has been in development since early 2016 and will be published by Nacon, a relatively new video game publisher known for Test Drive Off Roader Extreme and V-Rally 4. A specific release date has not yet been announced.

Are there any trailers?

The Test Drive Unlimited franchise has a long history of making realistic-looking racing games, with over 7 million copies sold since its introduction in 2006. The first Test Drive was released in 1987, and while it didn’t feature any sort of driving AI or realistic graphics, players enjoyed creating custom tracks from scratch. For fans who are excited to see what the next iteration has to offer, there’s a teaser trailer available for viewing on YouTube.
